Everything you need to keep the ensemble in tune — how we treat each other,
how we treat the gear, and where to find scores and paperwork.
Movement I
How we act
- 1.Show up on time — if you arrive after the downbeat, you cost everyone a bar.
- 2.Phones live in bags during rehearsal. The only solo here belongs on the stand.
- 3.Feedback stays musical and kind: critique the phrase, never the person.
- 4.Talk quietly while someone is playing; save the chatter for between pieces.
- 5.If you're new, say hello. Everyone sat where you're sitting once.

Movement II
Housekeeping
- 6.Borrowed instruments come back as you found them — wiped down, case latched, no sticky keys.
- 7.Check gear out and back in with the equipment lead so nothing goes missing mid-semester.
- 8.No food or drink near any instrument, amp, or the piano bench.
- 9.Pianists get priority in the practice rooms during concert weeks; sign the door sheet for your slot.
- 10.Leave every room as you found it: stands folded, chairs stacked, lids closed.
